Stoke Sessions:

Stoke are excited to bring skateboarding to the Varsity Winterfest with a number of introductory sessions and fun skateboard games.

Stoke introductory sessions are for those of all ages* keen to learn the basics of skateboarding. From taking your very first push, to kick turning and carving, Stoke’s dedicated staff are here to get you rolling!

Whether you want to build the confidence and technique to drop in on a mini ramp, or you need the mystery of the ‘Ollie’ unraveled – what we want to see is you stoked.

Stoke has all the skateboards and protective equipment on hand for those who don’t have their own set-ups.

(*Recommended for children 5 & over)

Stoke Sessions:     8:30am - 10:00am

 

Grom Games:

As part of the Stoke Sessions we will also be putting on skateboard games, these games are based on fun and are easy for beginners to be a part of.

Games include:

Tic-Tac Races: Without pushing, participants will tic-tac from the starting line to the finish line. First one to the finish line wins.

Carvin’ Marvin’ Slalom: Participants must carv’ through witches hats without lifting up their front wheels. One at a time each participant will be timed for the fastest carv’.

Manny Mania Wheelies: Longest manual (wheelie) from the starting line. A mark will be placed with chalk at the point where you put your front wheels down.

Spin Out 360 Comp: Using only your back truck and back wheels, see how many 360 spins you can do in a row.

There will also be prizes up for grabs!
