What inspired you to become a Director at Varsity Lakes Community Limited?
Over 5 years ago I was invited to come along as a guest by another Director to Varsity Lakes Community Limited Board meeting. Instantly I realised what VLCL was doing for the community. It was creating events to bring people together, to bring awareness and offer support.
It supported those in need and who needed a safe place to come and make connections and friendships in the community. I value community and by living in the area I wanted to be able to make an impact. Our community is so diverse in culture it should be celebrated and I wanted to be able to help locals connect.
What part of VLCL’s mission or activities are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about the community events that bring connection, whether it be the family events, sporting or business events these are where I can see the huge positive impact on the community.

How do you see VLCL making a difference in the local community?
VLCL makes a major impact on the community by helping its members feel connected, seen, safe and heard. VLCL have created large multicultural events, community events for children, raised awareness, supported local supporting events and charities and most importantly connects the members through all stages of their life whether business, family or personal.

We are proud Foundation Sponsors of the Varsity World Street Food & Entertainment Festival and are also proud supporters of the Robina/Varsity Golf Day and Varsity Against Violence. Our commitment extends across the Gold Coast, where we proudly sponsor local sporting clubs and support a range of community initiatives and charitable events. These include The Orange Ball and Stars Over Burleigh, fundraising events organised by Walk With Us, a local charity dedicated to assisting people experiencing homelessness, family crisis, and hardship. Supporting local organisations and community events is an important part of who we are. We love travelling the world to experience different cultures and way of life.What do you love most about & what is your connection to the Varsity Lakes community?
