What inspired you to become a Director at Varsity Lakes Community Limited?
Over 5 years ago I was invited to come along as a guest by another Director to Varsity Lakes Community Limited Board meeting. Instantly I realised what VLCL was doing for the community. It was creating events to bring people together, to bring awareness and offer support.
It supported those in need and who needed a safe place to come and make connections and friendships in the community. I value community and by living in the area I wanted to be able to make an impact. Our community is so diverse in culture it should be celebrated and I wanted to be able to help locals connect.
What part of VLCL’s mission or activities are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about the community events that bring connection, whether it be the family events, sporting or business events these are where I can see the huge positive impact on the community.

How do you see VLCL making a difference in the local community?
VLCL makes a major impact on the community by helping its members feel connected, seen, safe and heard. VLCL have created large multicultural events, community events for children, raised awareness, supported local supporting events and charities and most importantly connects the members through all stages of their life whether business, family or personal.

Your Professional Background
QC Law was established as a law firm in Gold Coast and Brisbane by the founding Partners of the firm Kim Oldroyd & Giuseppe Sciacca. Giuseppe has since retired from the firm.
At QC Law we pride ourselves on service not only to our clients but also to other professional services. Our strong team is comprised of some of the leading commercial, property, business, wills & estates and criminal Solicitors in the Gold Coast and Brisbane, as well as highly experienced support staff.
Our professional and support staff strive to continue to remain at the forefront of their specific practice area. We are available to our clients when and where we’re needed.
Our practice areas include Business Law, Property and Development, Conveyancing, Criminal Law including traffic matters and Wills and Estate administration.

How does your business support or engage with the Varsity Lakes or Gold Coast community?
We are huge supporters of the Gold Coast Community by sponsoring local sports clubs, are major charity partners for “The Orange Ball” as well as “Walk With Us” another local charity who supports not only the homeless but also to assist the Gold Coast’s ??About You Personally
Outside of work, what’s one passion, hobby, or interest that motivates you?
We love travelling the world to experience different cultures and way of life.What do you love most about & what is your connection to the Varsity Lakes community?
What I love most about is the community events that we host which helps the community come together.What’s one piece of advice or life philosophy that guides you?
